Professional wrestling legend and former five times WWE Women’s champion Mickie James who is the current and four times Impact Knockouts champion recently talked about the WWE return of Melina at the Royal Rumble pay per view event that took place recently.
This year WWE came out with a lot of surprises for the women’s Royal Rumble match. Every year a lot of surprises wait for us during the women’s Royal Rumble match. This year was no different. And some of the biggest surprises of the event were the surprise entrances.

Mickie James Reflects On The Return Of Melina At WWE Royal Rumble
The first surprise that occurred in the women’s Royal Rumble match was its entry number two which was the former WWE star and a former three times WWE Women’s champion Melina. She was a forbidden door entrant since she is signed with the Impact Wrestling right now.
Which was even more shocking was the way she got eliminated from the match. She had to go one on one with the entry number 1 of the match Sasha Banks. Everyone was expecting a good contest between the duo but that did not happen. Perez got eliminated from the match by Sasha Banks instantly after the start.

There were more surprises throughout the match as well. There were a total of 2 Forbidden door entrances in the whole match one of them was of course Perez and the other one was Mickie James herself who made her entrance as the Impact Knockouts champion. Even a more satisfying thing was she entered through her Hardcore Country theme.
Fans were expecting to see Perez for a longer duration in the match. After Royal Rumble, it looks like she is done with WWE for good. There is a very fat chance of her returning to WWE soon. She may of course return for one or a two sporadic appearance but there is a hard chance of her returning on a long term basis.
Mickie James who is the current and four times Impact Knockouts champion recently spoke to GAW TV where she talked about the WWE return of Melina at the Royal Rumble pay per view event that took place recently. She said;

“I didn’t love that at all [Melina being eliminated quickly], but I did love that her entrance, the people did exactly what we knew they were going to do, they erupted. They were like, ‘Holy shit!’ It was so good to see her back. She hadn’t been in WWE in over a decade so I think that was amazing.
“To see her get teared up, it was awesome. I didn’t love the whole, ‘She got eliminated first.’ I didn’t love that obviously because I wanted to be able to be in there with her and tangle it up. I wanted her to have those moments with some of the other girls in there, and I know it was special for Sasha to be in there with her.”
