Professional wrestling legend Mike Chioda who is mostly famous being a wrestling referee recently talked about two of the loudest crowd pops he has ever heard. He mentioned Stone Cole Steve Austin vs. The Rock from WrestleMania XV and The Rock vs Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania X8.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock from WrestleMania XV marked the beginning of this iconic feud. The Rock was the biggest heel of WWE back in the time and Austin was the biggest fan favourite without any doubt. Fans were dying to see these two wrestlers going toe to toe. The dream match was finally delivered after Austin managed to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XV.

It was the first time these to athletes went one on one under such hype. Of course Austin came out victorious in this occasion and this also mark the beginning of this iconic feud. No doubt it received massive support from the live crowd. In fact it was a dream match for the time being.
Another Epic match that drew massive crowd reaction was the iconic clash between the Rock and Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania X8 which was of course another dream match. The original plan was to book a match between Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin but for various reasons it could not be booked.
But the other big option which was also another dream match was booked. Hulk Hogan went one on one with the People’s Champion. This made the fans really excited and it was nothing less than a dream match. The Rock was victorious in this match and it is considered as one of the best WrestleMania matches in WWE history.

He mentioned Stone Cole Steve Austin vs. The Rock from WrestleMania XV and The Rock vs Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania X8. He said;
“The one pop that stood out is when I did … it was Rock and Stone Cold [Steve Austin] at WrestleMania [15]. First 10 minutes of the match and I got hit by a steel chair, and that’s when Stone Cold swings the chair at me. Oh my God, in Philly, and I was like, ‘Bring it, man, just make it look good,’ and he brought it. But I remember the pop when he came out and just being out there. The pop was so huge in Philly.
“When I always say [Hulk] Hogan and Rock got that huge pop with 68,000 people in the SkyDome [at WrestleMania 18], yeah, I get it — it’s all that. But every night, day in and day out, every week, when Stone Cold came out and that f**king glass used to break, when the music would start and the glass would break, man, the people would just come unglued off their seats. It was just like, ‘Woah, what the f?’ I mean, come unglued!”
