Former WWE superstar Molly Holly has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021 along with some of the greatest names in sports entertainment. She had an excellent career recorded under WWE with two memorable Women’s Championship runs.
Molly Holly is most famous for her heel roles in WWE. Even though she was introduced as a lovable babyface to the company, her heel persona during her singles run became more popular among the fans.
Molly Holly On Fit Finlay’s Contribution Towards Women’s Wrestling
After leaving WWE in 2005, she was seen giving sporadic appearances throughout the time. Her two Royal Rumble appearances in 2018 and 2020 was really loved by the fans. Her appearance during 2020 Royal Rumble match as ‘Mighty Molly’ was really loved by the fans.
Recently, Molly Holly appeared on Pro Wrestling 4-Life where she talked about the contribution of Fit Finlay towards women’s wrestling. The former two times WWE Women’s Champion said;
I actually told John Laurinaitis, who was Head of Talent Relations, ‘This guy is going to get in trouble for sexual harassment. He does not mean any harm, he’s just thinking like he’s never seen our show before and doesn’t know what we can do. That’s when Fit Finlay was brought in and it was awesome. Fit was like, ‘You can rip her head off and throw her over the top rope!’ He was excited about making it happen and it totally changed what we were allowed to do and how it worked.
She also said that an old-school wrestler pitched an idea for her to motorboat Trish Stratus:
Before Fit Finlay became our agent, they had tried out a few other agents, and I’m not going to name names, but there is an old school wrestler, who I love as a person, who got tried out as one of our agents and no lie is like ‘Why don’t we do this spot where you put your face in Trish’s boobs and [motorboat].’ I’m like, ‘What? What are you talking about? Are we rewinding time?’ It was awful.
With her recent appearances it is pretty much clear that she is very much for another run in WWE. She is only 43 and she has very much got it. On her appearances at Royal Rumble matches recently, it is quite clear that she is pretty much ready for more action. We hope to see her having another singles run for the company.
