WWE Money in the Bank PLE of 2023 ended a couple of hours ago and a lot of fans have already started to consider this event as one of the best pay per view events in WWE history. It seems every time WWE goes to UK, they produce amazing events. Much like the one from Cardiff last year, this one was pretty amazing as well, and even better.

There are definitely some bad sides to this event, but mostly, it was an amazing event. Both Money in the Bank matches were great. There were not enough upsets in these two matches, both of the winners remained favorites. Iyo Sky was the biggest favorite to win the men’s match and she won in an excellent way.

Money In The Bank 2023 – The Good, The Bad, And The Unforgettable: Ups & Downs Of The Show

Damian Priest was a favorite along with LA Knight and his victory was well booked too. They have instantly put his victory in a different storyline which was also a great move. The Judgment Day might be closing in on its death, or maybe Priest gets cut from the faction turning babyface.

Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio was a perfect strong babyface vs. cheeky heel match. It was not the best match of the night, and certainly not a technical master piece but it was extremely fun. Ronda Rousey getting betrayed by Shayna Baszler was a big upset, but we believe it was a little rushed. They should have continued this team for a while to elevate the Women’s Tag Team division. Surely, they are planning for a match between the duo at Summerslam.

Jey Uso Pins Roman Reigns At Money In The Bank

We are not rating John Cena’s return since it did not have many purposes apart from appeasing the home crowd. But Drew McIntyre’s return was pretty shocking. Everybody expected him to challenge for the World Heavyweight title but he rather chooses the Intercontinental title which was a little shocking.

Now, we must talk about the Bloodline Civil War, the biggest attraction of the night. The Usos winning the match was predicted by most of the fans but who would have expected to see Roman Reigns getting pinned tonight. Jey Uso did the unthinkable, he finally pinned Roman Reigns. It was a very bold decision and we appreciate it. It had to someone, so why not the wrestler who pinned Roman Reigns for the first time on the main roster?

Now, let us talk about the bad sides. Firstly, the IC title match was weak. It was a complete domination from Gunther and apart from Drew McIntyre’s return, it did not serve any purpose to feature in a PLE. Riddle’s injury was sold well so it was not terrible, just not good enough.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship match was not up to the mark either. The title is already suffering badly to gain spotlight, they should bring more glory to it. They have to make it main event worthy. Seth Rollins standing soon after receiving two Coup De Graces was a bit too much. It was a disappointing match. But the event overall was fantastic.
