WWE has lately been witnessing success in hosting stadium shows. The trend of hosting pay-per-view events have gone bigger with WWE hosting shows similar to mainstream sporting events in bigger venues. The company usually travels to Saudi Arabia for such shows, at least a couple of times, in a year. Despite all the backlashes, it’s safe to say that WWE has been putting up some show-stealer events.
That being said, more such stadium shows should be there on WWE’s calendar, this year. As reported earlier, WWE has been working towards holding a pay-per-view event somewhere in the United Kingdom for some time.

In an update to the situation from PWInsider, the deal might get cracked as WWE will be holding “a stadium show” in Great Britain in early September, likely the 3rd or 4th of the month. WWE’s 2022 pay-per-view press release also falls in line as there will be events listed on Saturday, September 3, or Sunday, September 4 at a location to be determined.

Stadium Shows are planned from Saudi Arabia
February and October dates have also been blocked in that list as Fightful Select reports that both these dates are for Saudi Arabia shows. There’s no confirmation on WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia after February’s Elimination Chamber, but if history repeats itself, then they will return for another stadium show sometime between mid-October and November.
Former WWE Champion and top WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has been clamoring for a major pay-per-view in the United Kingdom. He also has Tyson Fury in mind as a potential opponent with whom he intends to lock horns in a big stadium show.
“I’m still angling for that significant UK pay-per-view and I won’t shut up until it happens,” McIntyre told TalkSPORT. “Tyson Fury and I have gone back and forth for a long time.
“If we needed something just a little outside of the box to get people’s attention, especially in the UK with someone of Fury’s stature fighting Drew McIntyre in the battle of Britain, that would really draw some eyes and that’s where I’d like to see it,” McIntyre said.
Royal Rumble was the first stadium show for WWE in 2022 which went down at The Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. Wrestlemania 38 is scheduled from the AT&T Stadium while Summerslam 2022 will go down at the Nissan Stadium. Also, Money in the Bank is scheduled from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada in July.
