Back in 2008, WWE was still going through the Ruthless Aggression Era with the WWE Divas division in full force where Natalya was a newbie. Fresh off her coaching classes at the Hart Dungeon in Canada, the Neidhart family member was trying to earn a name for herself. Beth Phoenix was an established name on the WWE card who helped her a lot.
Natalya Neidhart made her debut on SmackDown on April 4, 2008, and later that month, she teamed up with Phoenix in a 12-woman tag team match. The duo later realized that teaming up together could earn them more success. Moving on, they did become one of the most dominant duos when WWE’s female division was yet to become the Women’s division. It was in the year 2008 on June 6 that WWE women’s title was replaced by the Divas Championship.

Natalya shared an interesting story from that phase of her WWE career while retweeting a fan’s picture of her transformation in her 15-year-long career of hers. Since both Beth Phoenix and she used to sport blonde hair, she was asked to dye her hair so that she could be spotted in a different way.
The Queen of Harts added that she hated the color of her hair but being a loyal name to the WWE Officials, she couldn’t refuse the move. Natalya also commented on how she put up an outfit together for a revamped look,
“So many things about the picture on the left. I was asked to dye my hair red so I didn’t look like Beth Phoenix. I hated this color of hair on me! I didn’t have much?, so I got the outfit at Bebe Sport and glued on a bunch of crystals myself?♀️ The glowup has been real..sorta.”

Natalya and Beth Phoenix are best friends in real life
The advice from the higher-ups to Natalya didn’t hamper her relationship with Beth Phoenix, at all. The two went on to become the very best of friends and create The Divas of Doom to have championship reigns. Nattie was also the one who always wanted to induct Beth into the WWE Hall of Fame and she was given the opportunity in 2017.
Natalya is the self-proclaimed “best of all-time” on the WWE female roster and is also the longest-tenured female superstar, as well. Back in spring 2019, Beth Phoenix came out of retirement to compete for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to team up with The Queen of Harts for one last time.
