This week on WWE Monday Night Raw, the Head of Creative of WWE Triple H made a shocking announcement that WWE is bringing back the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship. The first champion will be crowned at the Night of Champions pay per view event.

This is the secondary World Championship brought by WWE since Roman Reigns is carrying both of their previous world titles and it is pretty much clear that WWE is not going to take away any of those titles from him. After the previous title unification, it looked like WWE is going to stop the second brand extension.

WWE RAW – What Are The Negative Sides Of The Return Of World Heavyweight Championship – Analysis

The brand extension was almost dead. But finally WWE recently announced the draft and there are rumours that the promotion is bringing back the hard brand split once again. This is the reason why WWE needed another World championship for the brand that Roman Reigns would not work in.

It looks like that the World Heavyweight Championship is going to Friday Night Smackdown as Roman Reigns had been the biggest priority of USA Network; the television partner of Monday Night RAW, they want Roman Reigns more than a separate World Championship right now.

The return of the World Heavyweight championship after 10 years might sound really exciting but there are some negative sides of it as well. But what could possibly go wrong with WWE going towards the hard brand split and bringing a new World Championship?

It clearly means that the prestigious WWE Championship is now officially dead. This was currently the oldest Championship in WWE. It had a rich history of 60 years, but now it is all gone. WWE does not care about their title history much which was pretty much clear earlier when they killed prestigious titles like the Women’s championship and the World Tag Team Championship.

It also means that WWE values Roman Reigns so much that they are even ready to kill the most prestigious title for him. They are ready to kill a 60 year old Championship rather than taking it away from Roman Reigns. This obsession with Roman is really crazy.

The return of the World Heavyweight Championship also clearly means that Which ever brand Roman Reigns goes to, would not see World enough title defences. Bringing a new world title clearly means less title defences for Roman Reigns. Monday Night RAW might improve their TV ratings and viewership but there are fat chances if it would get any more exciting.
