Nick Khan Teases WWE’s Next Big Move: Potential New Show on the Horizon

Nick Khan who is the CEO of WWE has made it pretty clear that WWE is not going to stop at where they are right now but they would be expanding more. Speaking at the MoffettNathanson’s Inaugural Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, Khan said regarding this topic;

“Ideally for us, we would go every day of the week, as long as there is a unique product we can put on the air and resonate. Something we’ve discussed internally; lucha libre, which is big in Mexico and Latin America, to start something like that down the road.

Nick Khan Reports A New Show Highlighting Lucha Libre Is In Talks

“This would be well after US and UK media rights are settled, the synergies are all in place and we have our legs under us with [TKO Group], that’s something that’s interesting to us, especially with the growing Hispanic audience in the US. We over-index in the Hispanic community already with our English content. To target that is something of interest for us.”

WWE already has three major shows right now, Smackdown, RAW, and NXT. RAW and Smackdown remained their prime shows for more than two decades, and in spite of being the development territory of WWE, NXT is treated as a premium show and gets telecasted worldwide every week.

There is no confirmation on what would their new show potentially look. Would it be as big as Smackdown, RAW, or NXT, or would it just be a filler show? There is no news on this topic either. But WWE wants to engage viewers every day and it is very much in progress.
