There’s been a lot of discussions among the Bella Army regarding Nikki Bella’s marriage over the past couple of years. Now after waiting for more than three years of being engaged, the WWE Hall of Famer has finally tied the knot with Artem Chigvintsev in Paris, France. Dissimilar to the history of the Bella clan, this was a quiet affair but for a solid reason.
The marriage ceremony took place away from the United States on August 26 and the reason to keep it a hush affair was to allow a crew to film the entire proceedings. The wedding will be airing in a four-part E Network special. The new bride herself confirmed the exciting news in a post on Instagram with the following comment,
“We said I DO. Can’t wait to share the entire journey with you all when our four-part special event, ‘Nikki Bella Says I Do,’ premieres on E!”

WWE congratulated the couple on the good news on their official website. The company is also apparently very much excited to hear the news that they’ve documented all the festivities. According to PWInsider, WWE is very excited about the fact that a new series around Nikki Bella is coming out and this means there will be more engagement on the company content just like her two previous reality shows.

Nikki Bella has a long history with reality TV shows
The “Nikki Bella Says I Do” series will showcase the wedding, and the road towards it although no official details have been released around it. It is very likely her twin sister, Brie Bella will be on it alongside Artem and other Bella family members who we have previously spotted on Total Divas and Total Bellas.
That being said, this is obviously not the first time that a wedding in the Bella family aired on TV. Brie Bella’s marriage with Bryan Danielson was captured for Total Divas while their mom Kathy Colace’s wedding to John Laurinaitis was also highlighted during an episode of Total Bellas. Nikki Bella and Artem’s wedding emanating from Paris, France will get added to the list and the belief is that only a small group of family and friends were in attendance.
The two first met as they were paired together on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” competition in 2017. They got engaged in 2019 and since then they have had a child together named Matteo. The original plan called for the pair to be wed during the 2021 Thanksgiving weekend Nikki Bella’s post-partum depression canceled things. The new parents also had to go through some couples therapy.
Before dating Chigvintsev, the popular WWE female superstar was in a long-term relationship with legendary John Cena starting in 2012. They parted ways in early 2018 and since then Cena has also got married to Shay Shariatzadeh.
