With the reports that have been arriving for the past couple of months, it was easy to guess that Nikki Bella was gearing up for one last in-ring return. She alongside her sister Brie Bella always insisted on coming back to the squared circle since this is what they were born to do. On a contradictory note, the constant prohibition is still out there in the form of the neck injury of the elder Bella.

When the Bella Twins insisted that they were going to make an in-ring return, fans did raise their eyebrows considering that Nikki Bella always had an issue with her neck. The well-documented injury also informed a couple of years ago that doctors have always disqualified the pioneer female wrestler from competition due to that concussion. A bad bump can permanently put her in a paralytic condition.

Nikki Bella’s neck injury turned out to be fatal

“I would love one day, like when Matteo’s maybe three, and he knows it, to have my son be ringside while his mom kicks ass. That would be amazing to me. But because he is my everything, I have to listen to the doctors and as of now, they’ve put me on the retired bench for life. So, it would take a lot of scans, x-rays, and all this different stuff for them to actually approve me to have a run and so that would be unlikely — that will be years down the road,” Nikki Bella stated. Nikki Bella Says She’s Retired For Life From WWE In-Ring Action 2

Nikki Bella declared retirement from in-ring competition, but she has teased a return on several occasions as her neck is getting stronger. The Fearless One was always working hard to achieve the goal of performing in the ring with her son watching. But going by the doctors’ words, it seems that dream is just not going to happen.

Brie and Nikki Bella achieved a lot in their career and they have already become WWE Hall of Famers. Back at Wrestlemania 37, they got involved in a brief physical altercation with Bayley that left the fans thinking about their comeback in due course. Only time will tell whether that’s going to happen or not.
