With Lyra Valkyria being a fighting champion, she’s all set to go through her next title defense at NXT Stand and Deliver 2024, the next WWE premium live event scheduled under WWE’s third banner in the first week of April. This event will go down on the same day as Wrestlemania 40 Night One and it now has a title match added to the card.
In one of the big title matches from NXT Roadblock 2024 that took place two weeks ago, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) from the blue brand Smackdown defeated NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Sane was able to connect with the InSane Elbow from the top rope on Paxley to gain the pin to win at NXT Roadblock 2024. Soon after the match was over, Valkyria was attacked by Roxanne Perez. The champion’s arm was targeted as she was sent to the ring post. Eventually, the Irish star was loaded onto an Ambulance to set up a title match at NXT Stand and Deliver 2024.
This week in the opening match of NXT, Roxanne Perez defeated Tatum Paxley after locking in the cross-face submission hold on Valkyria’s ally. After the match, Perez wanted the NXT General Manager Ava to answer her plea and make her the challenger for the NXT Women’s championship at NXT Stand and Deliver 2024.

NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria came out and the two got into a brawl. The Prodigy stood tall by taking advantage of the injured arm of her adversary. After this segment, Ava met Valkyria in the backstage area where she again met with the same demand, and the title match was eventually made official at NXT Stand and Deliver 2024.
