The upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020 event now has two more contests confirmed for the show. A Triple Threat Match for the WWE NXT North American Championship and a Strap Match have been added to make the card even more stacked.
The Triple Threat will witness NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff defend his title against the former champions, Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest.
Last night’s NXT show saw guest commentator Kevin Owens host The KO Show with Ruff as his special guest. A confrontation went down on the segment between Ruff, Gargano, and Priest. NXT General Manager William Regal then joined the scene came out to make the match official for NXT Takeover WarGames 2020.

Last night’s episode also witnessed Cameron Grimes defeating Jake Atlas in a singles contest. After the match, Grimes was confronted by Dexter Lumis, who was having a bag of leather straps with him. Lumis wanted to have that match but Grimes said it’d never happen. Regal later confronted Grimes backstage to confirm that Strap Match for WWE NXT Takeover WarGames 2020.

Meanwhile, a massive change happened to the upcoming PPV card, as well via a heel-turn. Team Candice LeRae has been finalized for the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020 match against Team Shotzi Blackheart with an interesting addition by their side. LeRae will have Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, and Raquel Gonzalez. Blackheart’s team isn’t completed but Ember Moon is likely to join her.
Toni Storm turned heel after LeRae defeated Moon in singles action, in a match that had interferences by Kai, Gonzalez, and Indi Hartwell. The post-match angle witnessed Moon retreating through the ramp whom Storm was supposed to give back-up. Storm suddenly pulled Moon back and destroyed her at ringside.
Storm rolled Moon back into the ring and watched while the heels attacked her. LeRae then featured in a backstage segment to confirm that she will be joining Storm, Kai, and Gonzalez at WWE NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020.
The WWE NXT Takeover WarGames 2020, an NXT exclusive event will take place on Sunday, December 6 from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. The updated match card stands as follows,
