Last night’s WWE WWE NXT Takeover WarGames 2020 main event witnessed The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish) defeating The Kings of NXT (Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch). It was a brutal encounter by all means which witnessed Cole and Co finally taking revenge on McAfee and his followers.
The finish of the match saw O’Reilly pinning Lorcan after a top rope knee to a chair that was laying over Lorcan’s face. The Undisputed Era then stood tall to end NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020. Team McAfee had the entry advantage for the match. The mind-blowing action had several high spots, including a Swanton Bomb by McAfee, from the very top of the cage. He also kicked out of a Panama Sunrise from Cole before digesting The Last Shot.

The other NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020 match happened with the lineup of Team LeRae (Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez) vs Team Blackheart (Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley, NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai). Team LeRae came out on top defeating Team Shirai.

The finish of the match saw Gonzalez pining Shirai after a single-arm powerbomb from the top rope, through a ladder bridge that was in the middle of the structure where the two rings were connected. This was the biggest win of Raqueel’s career who was tired of being overlooked on NXT. Perhaps, she will be heading into the title picture after pinning the NXT Women’s Champion.
Team Blackheart had the entry advantage for the NXT TakeOver WarGames 2020 match that also featured interference from Indi Hartwell. It was also the opener contest at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, last night.
In another major update from the show, Johnny Gargano has become the new WWE NXT North American Champion at NXT Takeover WarGames 2020. The event saw Gargano capturing the title by winning a Triple Threat over Damian Priest and the former champion Leon Ruff. This is the third reign for Gargano with the North American Title while Ruff won the title back during the November 11 NXT episode that was a major upset win over Gargano.
The match featured interference from several masked men who were donning the Scream masks. Priest took out six masked men in total until one knocked him down with a steel pipe. It was later revealed that Austin Theory was under the mask. In a post-match segment, Gargano was seen celebrating his win with Theory.
