WWE announced several matches for NXT Worlds Collide 2022 WWE Network Specials during the go-home episode of NXT, last night. A number of main roster superstars were in attendance at the show and some of them also got the chance to feature in matches for the event set for this weekend.
Katana Chance and Kayden Karter successfully retained their NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships against Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. This was their first title defense since winning the belts in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match for the vacant titles on the August 3 episode of NXT.
After the match, the champions were confronted by Raw Superstars Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. as the duo proceeded to challenge them for a title match. Apparently, the champions had no problems and the matchup was made, official for the NXT World Collide 2022 event.

WWE Smackdown Superstar Ricochet will challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North American Title at NXT Worlds Collide 2022. The NXT returnee confronted Hayes during this week’s main event segment and made it clear that he wants to be a two-time NXT North American Champion by becoming Carmelo’s opponent, this Sunday.
Carmelo never accepted the challenge but rather wanted to attack Ricochet. But The One and Only was able to shove him off the ring to stand tall and end the segment. The match was thereafter announced by WWE following the end of the episode.

Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer is reportedly happening at NXT Worlds Collide 2022. The two babyface superstars met in a backstage segment on NXT and decided to compete in a best-of-three rounds match.
WWE never announced the on their website or social media but outlets like PWInsider and Wrestling Observer have noted that the first of the three matches will take place at Sunday’s WWE Network Specials.
WWE has also announced that there will be a Fatal-4-Way elimination match to unify the tag team titles at NXT Worlds Collide 2022. The lineup stands NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers vs. NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Pretty Deadly vs. Gallus.
