Rumor Killer On Ronda Rousey Returning To Smackdown
As we have seen, Bayley chose her way to become a new champion on the same night of Money in the Bank. She cashed it on Charlotte Flair who just won the Smackdown women’s championship herself by pinning Becky Lynch. Bayley had to deliver only a top rope elbow to come up as the winner and thereby making history. She followed the footsteps of her predecessor Alexa Bliss from 2018 to be able to cash in the Money in the Bank contract, successfully.
However, original plans with women’s Money in the Bank match was pretty different as opposed to how it originally went by. For the week heading into the pay-per-view, the creative team had someone different in mind to become the winner of the match. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE locked in Ember Moon for that position.
However, the follow-ups for the winner could be the same as she’d also be emerging as a new women’s champion using the contract. Here’s more from wwfoldschool.com,
“This would’ve then led to Ember cashing-in her Money In The Bank contract on the new SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to win the Title.”
Bayley received a huge pop from the fans after winning the Money in the Bank ladder match. Chants for her name even increased when she decided to cash in the contract. It was the fans who also instructed her to demand the title match right there just to end the title reign of Charlotte Flair as early as possible.
Thus The Hugger reached the top of the mountain after a long wait for over two years. For some reasons, the former NXT women’s champion got lost from the singles title picture. But now he is back into it, in full force and likely to carry the Smackdown women’s division. As for Ember, this young lady has a ton of potential and I’m sure she will reach the title picture, sooner than later.
