WWE Superstar Paige is long being rumored to make her in-ring return by overcoming a well-documented neck injury. But for some reason that is getting postponed. Some of the fans believe that it’s because of her lethargy and so she took to Twitter and responded to those fan criticisms.

Those concerned fans assume that Paige should’ve been back in the ring by now since Bryan Danielson and WWE Hall of Famer Edge made their successful comebacks following neck fusion surgeries as soon as possible. This is the same reason why a potential return to the ring for her remains a hot topic on social media among fans.

Plus, the former WWE Divas Champion herself commented on a possible return on social media, fueling up the rumor mill. Now, she also responded to some of those fans who believe she’s lazy. The veteran revealed that her neck still needs to get strengthened and not everyone is built like Edge and Bryan.

“It’s wild that some people are like ‘well edge and Bryan came back you are just lazy’ I’m inspired by them. I’m not lazy. My neck needs to recover. We are all built different. Sorry fam,” Paige wrote on Twitter.

Before noting that on Twitter, Paige also responded to a fan tweet on how fans want to see her return to the ring but no one has ever asked her what she wants.

“I wanna wrestle again,” she responded.

Paige is still under contract with WWE

The two-time WWE Divas Champion has been out of action after getting forced to retire in 2018 following a neck injury at a December 2017 WWE live event at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. She still remained with the WWE as it was believed that she was under contract with the company through 2023. But surprisingly, she confirmed in late 2021 that her deal expires in June of this year. A negotiation between the two parties is expected as the year progress.

As noted, Paige will become 30 in August and she expressed hope for a return in multiple interviews and tweets in 2021. She also openly stated that she is yet to be done. Rumors also claimed in early 2022 that she was medically cleared to compete in time for Royal Rumble 2022 but nothing was ever confirmed.

Paige also noted via a Twitch stream that she’s working hard to come back but if and we’re that happens, we won’t be knowing in advance since she is willing to keep it as a surprise. The return may also not be imminent as she is yet to be mentally prepared.
