It appears that WWE had some special plans for top Smackdown Superstar Drew McIntyre’s entrance at Wrestlemania 38. But it was ultimately scrapped due to timing issues. Mike J Wilson shared a photo on Instagram of a group of Kilted Warriors from the backstage area of the show which confirmed the news in turn.
Sean Stark was a member of those Kilted Warriors who noted the situation on Twitter,
“Canceled our entrance. So no Wrestlemania moment. But still got that all access pass. So we roaming around.”
In a follow-up tweet, he gave some more information about the backstage scene at Wrestlemania 38,
“I was bummed about not being able to perform tonight. But @WWE was so accommodating. Got to meet so many amazing people. But meeting @RheaRipley_WWE was by far the highlight. Such an amazing women and such a talent. She was so kind. Thank you and hope to meet you again.”

McIntyre himself nixed Wrestlemania 38 entrance
In an update to the situation, it was Drew McIntyre himself who reportedly made the call to cancel the special entrance planned for him at WrestleMania 38 Night One.
The new report from Fightful Select noted that a group of men and women called the Kilted Warriors was not allowed to make the entranceway at Wrestlemania 38. In contradictory to the earlier reported timing issues, the source suggested that it was McIntyre who actually made the call to nix the planned entrance.
It was noted in the report that McIntyre “didn’t feel like the additions didn’t enhance the entrance.” Rather, he wanted to connect to the crowd more than doing a special entrance. However, the people brought in for the entrance were still paid. As noted above, they still got to use their all-access passes while being at the AT&T Stadium. It was emphasized how time-constraint wasn’t an issue for McIntyre’s entrance being cut from the event.

McIntyre ended up defeating Happy Corbin in his scheduled match, despite Madcap Moss’ assists from outside. Eventually, that backfired as McIntyre got to pin him. Drew became the first wrestler to kick out of Corbin’s End of Days finisher, before proceeding to pin him with the Claymore Kick. Also after this Wrestlemania 38 match, McIntyre cut the ring ropes with the Angela sword.
