The youngest WWE Divas Champion in history, Paige is hoping to make her in-ring comeback. She could be following up with another success story to that of what WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan have already written in the WWE by coming out of retirement from a career-ending neck concussion. Their story is more than inspiring to the 28-year-old female star who has a ray of hope left for herself.

Paige was closely watching this week’s Smackdown where something interesting transpired. During a backstage segment on the show aired on FOX, Edge said that Bryan returning to the ring in 2018 inspired him to do the same.

Edge then asked Bryan whether he would call it “a dream match.” Bryan answered saying that some people would call it “long overdue,” to which Edge gave a positive nod. Paige reacted to the segment by tweeting, “one day” with a fingers-crossed emoji. She was responding to a tweet from the WWE on FOX Twitter handle, which had the caption “Retirement” by sharing the Edge-Bryan exchange.

The IWC is nurturing the return of the anti-Diva in action for quite sometimes and this reaction would add fuels to them. Edge’s wife, WWE Hall of Famer, Beth Phoenix, reacted to the tweet saying, “You deserve it.”

Paige had to retire from WWE in 2018

Paige the two-time Divas Champion in history, underwent her first neck surgery in October 2016 to return to action in December 2017. Later that month during a non-televised live event in New York, she took a stiff kick from Sasha Banks which ultimately resulted in her forced retirement just a few months later. The night after WrestleMania 34 in April 2018, the popular female superstar officially announced her retirement in a heart-wrenching segment.

During a recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Paige did hint to come back after going through a couple of more neck surgeries in the recent past. Here’s what she actually had to say about another run in the WWE,

“I think it is always a possibility one day, you can never say never. It’s not going to be any time soon. That’s mostly all I can say about it, it’s really hard because I just had a neck surgery in August. My neck is just getting healthier quicker the second time around which is crazy. I feel absolutely fantastic. We’ll see where it goes.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling News)
