Former American football player and current WWE commentator Pat McAfee who also works occasionally as a wrestler in WWE recently talked about Cody Rhodes working with a deadly injury at the Hell in a Cell pay per view event. It was also the main event of the night.
Cody Rhodes is having a long running feud with Seth Rollins which did not end yet. It started at WrestleMania 38 where Cody made his surprise return to WWE after spending 6 years outside of the promotion. It was not a very shocking return as it had been leaked on social media before the event took place.
Pat McAfee Reflects On Cody Rhodes Working With Injury
After a hectic match, the duo continued their feud as they fought once again at the very next pay per view event WrestleMania Backlash. They fought in an amazing match in this event as well. There match at WrestleMania Backlash was the opener and it was a great match. But the feud was not over yet.
They continued their feud as they fought once again at the very next pay per view event Hell in a Cell once again. This time the feud turned really physical as they started fighting outside of their matches. But before Hell in a Cell, Cody picked up an injury and at a point it was not confirmed if he would be able to wrestle at the event.
But he did decide to wrestle even with a vicious injury. The scars on his body was clearly visible. He received massive praise from the fans and wrestlers worldwide for wrestling with such a vicious injury. Even on the next night on Monday Night RAW he took another huge beating from Seth which marked the continuation of their feud.
Pat McAfee who also works occasionally as a wrestler in WWE recently spoke on his Pat McAfee program where he talked about Cody Rhodes working with a deadly injury at the Hell in a Cell pay per view event. It was also the main event of the night. He said;
“A man last night went into Hell in a Cell with a torn tit. Cody Rhodes went in there…a lot of people thought it was makeup, that’s what your body does when you tear your shit. Early, it looked like he was in a shit ton of pain.
“But he clicked into some of ‘I don’t give up fuck’ because unless they shot that thing up with everything you can shoot up with, which would hurt so bad, just the shooting up of it, a full Hell in a Cell match. They didn’t mail it in either. This shit was a full match. Seth Rollins lost to a guy with one fucking tit. I assume he’s getting surgery.”
