Pat McAfee Reveals Why He Was Not Present At Hell In A Cell

At the Hell in a Cell pay per view event WWE booked a total of seven matches. Only one of those matches was from Friday night Smackdown and the rest of the matches were booked from Monday Night RAW. This is just clear and simple picture of lazy booking. They have already ended the brand split and they do not want to reveal it right now.

Right now the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship is exclusive to the Friday Night Smackdown brand. But Roman Reigns is not present in WWE right now as he is taking a time off. He does not defend his Championship a lot either anyway. After WrestleMania 38 he did not defend his title even once.

When the news of him taking time of came out, fans finally thought that this might be the time that Roman Reigns would drop the Championship. But he took time of along with the Championship. And WWE is so obsessed with him, that they are booking back to back shows without the main event segment.

Pat McAfee who also works occasionally as a wrestler in WWE recently spoke on his Pat McAfee program where he talked about not being present at the Hell in a Cell pay per view event and revealed why he missed the event. He said;

“I was not at Hell in a Cell, SmackDown only had one match and all parties agreed that it was probably not worth the trip to Chicago and back for that. It ended up being a 13-minute match.

“As soon as [Cody] took his jacket off, there were reports hitting the internet about somebody’s injury, oh, Cody Rhodes is injured, I thought it was all work, especially going into Hell in a Cell. I thought it was something to set up something. When he took his jacket off…that must have hurt so bad. Congrats, Cody. That’ll be a toughness conversation fodder forever. Good for him.”
