Paul Heyman The current manager of Roman Reigns, has worked as the advocate of Brock Lesnar for quite a long time. It has always been excellent to see the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar getting accompanied by Paul Heyman.
But after losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, Brock Lesnar was never seen working for WWE. It is rumored that Brock Lesnar is not under any contract with WWE anymore.
Paul Heyman On working With Roman Reigns After Brock Lesnar
Roman Reigns made his WWE return during WWE SummerSlam last year. In the very next event Roman Reigns defeated the fiend Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match to capture the WWE Universal title gold.
On the same event he started to work along with Paul Heyman. Reigns is having a tribal chief gimmick right now, the back story might be different but it is quite similar to the Bast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. And after turning heel he is been managed by Paul Heyman which is becoming more and more engaging to see day by day.
Recently Heyman spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where he revealed that he had his concerns initially on returning on screen. He also talked about his experience on managing Roman Reigns after Brock Lesnar;
“I cannot begin to convey how reluctant I was to ever do anything in this industry after the eight years, let alone the 18 years, that I put together with Brock Lesnar,” Heyman said. “Look at our accomplishments: a 500-day run as champion, multiple world championships, the single biggest, most historic victory in sports entertainment history in the conquering of ‘The Streak.’ There was very little chance of me ever returning on-screen.”
Heyman also revealed that only Reigns except off Brock Lesnar could have get him back on screen again;
“For me to pursue, in front of the camera, life after Brock Lesnar, the only lure that could seduce me to even attempting such an impossible goal was to do it with someone that would live their life in the pursuit of achieving that impossibility, and that’s Roman Reigns, and that’s why someone, that’s why anyone and that’s why everyone should watch Roman Reigns. Every micromoment he’s in the frame, you are witnessing the pursuit of the all-time greatest career in the annals of sport, in the annals of entertainment, and in the annals of sports entertainment.”
