Debuting on the main roster in late 2017, Mandy Rose was barely believed to be a breakout star in the big league. For the following few years, she was mostly booked as a mid-card attraction during her stay on the WWE Raw and Smackdown brand. However, a major resurgence was in store for her from the 2021 summer onward.

This is one of the many instances where main roster superstars opted to move back to NXT to revamp their TV character amid a lack of creative plans on Raw or Smackdown. The move worked wonders for Mandy Rose as she got to fulfill her long wish to become a champion. Not only that, she established herself to be perhaps the top-most attraction of the NXT 2.0 era.

Appearing in a Q&A session for Monopoly Events, Mandy Rose looked back to her WWE career and mentioned that her NXT stint was her very best,

“[NXT] was the highlight of my career because I think gaining the respect from my fans, … putting in the work, I humbled myself. I didn’t take that call and get negative. I just took it like this is a new opportunity for me.”

Mandy Rose reveals how she got in touch with the WWE

During the conversation, Mandy Rose also revealed the process of signing with WWE, revealing that it was a third party that initially kept her in touch with the promotion. Despite not looking to transition into a wrestler from the fitness industry, she changed her mind and it worked wonders for her,

“I was competing for bodybuilding and fitness competitions, and I was basically recruited through an agency, I guess, for the reality show ‘Tough Enough. I made my way up, and I worked hard and trained, and I actually fell in love with the business.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

Starting in the WWE from NXT roster, Mandy Rose was sent to the main roster but she eventually got back to make a name for herself. During her tenure, the former Golden Goddess was part of three tag teams, Absolution with Paige and Sonya Deville, Fire n Desire with Sonya Deville, and then The Toxic Attraction stable with Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin.

The latter run put Mandy Rose on top of her game but despite her tremendous popularity, she was released by WWE in 2022 after alleged non-PG photos surfaced behind her premium paywall. This happened just hours after she was dethroned from a 413-day run with the NXT Women’s Championship.
