WWE is reportedly planning to host the first-ever Queen of the Ring tournament, later this year as per the confirmations of multiple sources. Now the final of that tournament is likely to happen in a big way as it could emanate from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. WWE will reportedly be returning to the middle-east country later this year for a PPV event.

It was reported, first by Wrestling Inc that WWE had plans for the all-women Queen of the Ring tournament to go down, later this year. It was then revealed by Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men wrestling podcast that the tourney would begin on the October 8 SmackDown and it would continue through October 11 RAW. A separate report from the source noted that WWE will return to Saudi Arabia on Thursday, October 21.

In more update to the situation, the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament may be planned to take place in Saudi Arabia, according to Andrew Zarian. There is no word on what the name of the next Saudi Arabia show will be. But going by the infos the tournament as well as the Saudi PPV will simultaneously air on Peacock and the WWE Network.

Queen of the Ring 2021 could conclude in a big way

WWE hosting the final match of an all-women tournament in Saudi Arabia would be a major deal. Due to the prohibition of female participation in open, female WWE Superstars were unable to travel with the company to the Kingdom to perform in the first couple of shows. Later that rule was withdrawn and Queen of the Ring tournament is likely to solidify the progression.

Back at Crown Jewel 2018, Renee Young was featured in the commentary table following up the same act at Super ShowDown 2019. The first-ever women’s division match was supposed to take place at Super ShowDown 2019, with Alexa Bliss competing against the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Natalya, but that match was scrapped by the Saudi government.

WWE finally held a women’s match in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel 2019 with Natalya defeated Lacey Evans. Then at Super ShowDown 2020, Bayley competed against Naomi in the second televised match in Saudi Arabia. Going by the looks, the third match in the spree will be reserved when the Queen of the Ring tournament finale goes down in October 2021 in a PPV emanating from the Kingdom.
