R Truth Reveals His Hip Hop Goals

WWE star R Truth recently spoke to Spate Magazine. Here is what he said;

Why did you leave Impact Wrestling?

Ron: I left Impact wrestling because I felt that it was time for me to explore. I had grown since K-kwik, and knew more about who Ron Killings was.

How come you never won a WWE title?

Ron: I HAVE won WWE titles. I’ve won Hardcore, Tag Team, and United States championship titles.

What WWE legend would you like to face as an opponent?

Ron: If I had to pick a WWE legend, I would like to face as an opponent The Rock.

Which WWE Legend are you excited about the most going into the Hall Of Fame?

Ron: I have great respect for all which were announced. It’s hard to pick just one legend, as I have memories with them all.

What was your favorite moment from 2011 when you were feuding with John Cena?

Ron: My favorite moment from the 2011 feud with John Cena was the involvement of Lil Jimmy and the open doors of the opportunity to go for the WWE world championship

When did you start rapping?

Ron: I started rapping when Will Smith came out with “Girls Ain’t Nothing but Trouble ” I was into rap music since Cool Moe D, Grandmaster Flash, Melly Mell, Sugar Hill, KRS 1, Dana Dane, Ice T, etc. I went from writing my own raps, to performing at talent shows and opening shows for rap artist, such as 3rd Bass, Chub Rock, Tracey Spencer, and Quamae.

What are some of your goals as a rap artist?

Ron: Some of my main goals as a rap artist is to relate and connect with people, leave an impression, inspire, and motivate people of all race, religion, gender, or nationalities. One of my songs entitled “I Be Like” inspires people to want to be something. In that song, I speak about my own personal due diligence as to how I kept going after my passion until it became reality. I was trying to remind people that I also had problems in life but I stayed focused and learned from positive people that interested me. I wanted the song to inspire people with ambition to pursue and go after their dreams which was one of my main goals. Additionally, my goal was to educate, build entrepreneurs to become their own boss, and mentoring teens and adults in an effort to encourage people to think in order to make the right decisions in life. When we make the right decisions, we place our minds into a secure peaceful state of mind. I have so many goals, but last, but not least, I want to change the negative perception people have on rap music. All rap music is not bad, negative, or violent. Please take a listen to my song “I Be Like”

What music producers would you like to work with?

Ron: Music producers I’d like to work with are Dr Dre, Timberland, Manny Fresh, Swizz Beats, and D.J Khaled. I’ve listened to these producers for years, danced to thier music and have felt the vibe in every track. These producers are the pioneers that pretty much kept me in sync an grounded with beats that became genuine hits.

What music artist are you listening to right now?

Ron: I listen to a lot of Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne, T.I, Eminem, Kings of Leon, and Shooter Jennings. Notwithstanding, of course we always need a little R&B to dazzles a hip hop sound. Each of these artists have their own flare and style of delivering. Lil Boosie and T.I are two of my favorites because they speak real life in their music which educates you too, (if you listen) they motivate the listener and it’s relatable.

How can fans find you online?

Ron: You can find me at the following online social media sites
