The rivalry between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston over the WWE Championship has seen a back and forth going, throughout. The WWE Champion had the early advantage until Summerslam passed by after which the challenger found new allies by his side. The Revival joined him to build a strong faction to counter the trio of The New Day.

As seen on Raw, a week ago, Randy Orton delivered a vicious attack on the Smackdown tag team champions with the help of the heel superstars. It was relentless that landed Xavier Woods into a local medical facility, straight. Kofi Kingston was able to seek redemption on his friend’s behalf, last week. So WWE.com predicted the Viper could be ready to strike back,

“After vicious attacks by Randy Orton and The Revival on The New Day that put Xavier Woods on the shelf, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston took matters into his own hands last week, dropping The Viper with Trouble in Paradise, then pummeling Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder with a steel chair.

Will The Viper and his new allies be out for payback on Kingston? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

The Viper indeed stroke back by putting away the champion and also winning a match against Big E on Smackdown to keep the momentums in his favor.
