This week’s RAW was special since it was the RAW after WrestleMania. Fans generally expect a number of returns and debuts in this episode. But there were not enough expectations from this year. The show started after a very long highlight of WrestleMania 38.
The show started as Cody Rhodes came out to the arena. He still has his American Nightmare theme. He talked about his decision to come back to WWE after becoming a free agent 47 days ago. He talked about beating Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 and also talked about his father. He became emotional while talking about his father, and he promised himself that he would win the same Championship that his father held.

Seth Rollins interfered him. Rollins did not say anything, just entered the ring and stood in front of the face of Cody. Cody offered to shake hands with Rollins. Rollins took a long pause but finally accepted to shake hands with Cody.
Match 1 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship contender’s match – Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan
We cannot remember the last time a champion won a contender’s match. Maybe good times are coming finally as the brand split is coming to an end. About this match it was booked for five minutes. Naomi pinned Liv for the win.
Kevin Owens came out to the arena. He claimed himself to be injured before the match last night. He claimed that he had a back injury to begin with. But still he put himself in risk just for the fans. He also praised Steve Austin for beating him last night.
Someone named Ezekiel interrupted Kevin Owens. The guy was no one else but a Elias, but in a completely new look. He had shaved his beard, and changed his ring attire as well. He claimed to be the brother of Elias. Owens said that he could recognise him but he did not care about it. he threatened him to leave the ring but he did not. Owens then left the ring himself.
Match 2 – The Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio
This was a strange match because it was not given booked for 1 minute. Miz easily connected a Skull Crushing Finale and pinned him. After the match, Veer Mahaan appeared and beat down Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
The new WWE Raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair came out to the arena. She talked about her win at WrestleMania 38 over Becky Lynch. She also showed her injured eye. It was a short promo, we were expecting some interference during this promo but there was nothing.
Match 3 – Bron Brekker defeated Dolph Ziggler to become new NXT Champion
This match was booked for 7 minutes and it was a good match. We got to see a new champion crowned on Monday Night RAW tonight. Brekker pinned Ziggler with the Oklahoma Slam.
Bobby Lashley came out to the arena. He talked about his match against Omos at WrestleMania 38 where he defeated the Colossus. Omos came out to the arena. He demanded his rematch. Then came the shocking part, MVP betrayed Lashley. MVP and Omos teamed up and beat down Lashley. We believe it was a good decision to associate MVP with Omos. It would deliver a perfect push Omos and it would also give a good angle to this storyline.
Carmella and Queen Zelina was about to have a match against Shayna Baszler and Natalya but Zelina and Carmella fought as Zelina condemned Carmella for their loss at WrestleMania. They started fighting and the segment ended up with a kiss between Carmella and Corey Graves.
Match 4 – The Usos and Austin Theory defeated Finn Balor and RK-Bro
It was a 6 man tag team match and this match was booked for five minutes. It was more of a time filler, but it definitely built some future rivalries. The Tag Team championships will be merged sooner or later, and maybe Theory would feud for the US title. Theory pinned Balor with the ATL to earn the victory for his side.
Edge came out to the arena. He explained why he decided to team up with Damian Priest. He introduced Damian and they had a short promo before addressing AJ Styles. AJ came out and attacked both of them. But he could not fight with two of them all alone as he got beaten down. Backstage crew came out to stop them, among two of them were Jamie Noble and Shawn Davari.
Match 5 – The Street Profits defeated Alpha Academy in a Texas Tornado match
This was a 5 minute long match and it was quite entertaining. There is nothing much to talk about it. Montez Ford hit a Frog Splash on Chad Gable through a table and pinned him.
The Bloodline came out to the arena. Paul Heyman talked about the ultimate success of Roman Reigns, how he surpassed everything that got in his way. Roman Reigns said that they would inform what would be the next step on Friday Night Smackdown. And that was it. Maybe we were all expecting some return for debuts during this segment but nothing. The Bloodline stood tall as this week’s RAW went off air.
Ultimately it turned out to be one of the worst RAW after WrestleMania ever. On this particular show WWE fans expect a lot of returns and debuts. We did however get some returns, but fans were not at all excited about any of them. This could have been a great show but ultimately it was quite weak and extremely disappointing. The fans were really high about the event but it felt like as if WWE betrayed them. We give it 1.5 out of 5 stars.
