This week’s RAW started as footage from last week was shown where Cody Rhodes made his return to Monday Night RAW after six years. He was also challenged in a match against The Miz and he defeated the Miz in this match.
The show started as Seth Rollins came out to the arena. It has also been announce that Cody and Seth will meet each other again at WrestleMania Backlash. Seth entered the arena and called out Cody. Cody came out to the arena.

WWE RAW 18.04.2022 Results & Ratings
They had a long promo segment. The segment remained mostly over superiority. Seth said Cody won at WrestleMania because he did not know he is opponent till Cody entered the ring. So Seth said that he would organize the surprise opponent for Cody tonight and to see how he come up with it. Cody accepted the challenge.
Match 1 – WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Naomi and Sasha Banks defeated Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan to retain
This match was booked for four minutes and it was for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Sasha pinned Rhea with the roll up. After the match, Rhea and Liv argued as Rhea turned heel after beating down Liv. We hope Rhea joins Edge and Damian Priest. If Rhea and Liv had a normal feud it would be same as Rhea – Nikki feud from last year.
Sonya Deville came out and started to explain her action from last week. She founded really nervous when she started to cut the promo but slowly she picked up the pace. She said that there was nothing personal, it was just business. She also said she did not want to be a professional, she was forced into this position.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair interrupted Sonya Deville. She entered the ring and wanted to have the title match right now. But Sonya declined to face Bianca tonight and made the match official for next week. Bianca was about to hit KOD on but Sonya threatened her to strip her out of her title and Bianca let her go.

Match 2 – Veer Mahaan defeated Local Competitor
It was a one minute long squash. Don’t know how long this push would continue. Veer looks in good shape but his unnecessary shouting sounds a little awkward. He made the competitor submit with the Cervical Clutch.
Next up Kevin Owens held a lie detector test to prove Ezekiel is Elias with Chad Gable being the host to conduct the test. Ezekiel passed the test to prove that he was not Elias but Ezekiel. Overall, it was quite a funny segment.
Match 3 – Ezekiel defeated Chad Gable by DQ
The match received a booking of 2 minutes and as Ezekiel was getting the control of the match, Otis interfeared and beat down Ezekiel. This whole Ezekiel segment is fun but not enough exciting to be honest.
Match 4 – The Street Profits defeated WWE RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro in a non title match
This match was booked for nearly 5 minutes and RK-Bro dominated the most part of the match. As they were closing in on a victory, the music of the uthe music of the Usos hit which distracted the champions and the Street Profits took the advantage of the situation. Montez Ford pinned Riddle for the win.

A pre taped backstage promo aired where Edge and Damian Priest was seen where Edge talked about how much injustice they felt throughout the time. Edge also challenged AJ Styles in a match at WrestleMania Backless. They seriously need more members in their team soon.
Backstage AJ Styles was asked if he would like to accept the challenge made by Edge. Before he could answer he was attacked by Damian Priest and Edge. The duo beat down AJ in his own local room.
Match 5 – WWE United States Championship – Theory defeated Finn Balor to become new champion
It was one of the better matches of the night and it was booked for around eight minutes. It was a good match. Balor seemed to have injured his neck during the match. Theory pinned Balor with the ATL and it was a clean win. After the match, the heel jobbers came out to celebrate with Balor. At the end, Vince McMahon appeared and congratulated Theory.

Next up was the double wedding segment and it was one of the best parts of the night. We must say this had to be the best 24/7 Championship segment since D-Von took the charge of it. And maybe this is the first time the Championship segment got such a long time booking.
A lot of things were going on throughout this segment. Akira Tozawa and Tamina got married and at the same time Dana Brooke and Reggie got married too. It was a really fun segment. After the marriage was done, Reggie pinned Dana to win the 24/7 title, Tamina pinned Reggie quickly to win it and Tozawa pinned Tamina to win the title next.
At the end, Dana pinned Tozawa to win back the championship and left the ring quickly. This is all we want to see, the title changing hand frequently. There is nothing wrong is Dana keeping the title but it had to change the hands more frequently since it is the 24/7 championship. This is how the title should change hands every week.
Backstage segment was shown promoting the feud between Bobby Lashley and Omos. Both men cut promo on different sides of the arena. There was not enough time left so we could accept whatever promotion the feud received.

Match 6 – Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens by count out
This match was booked for 12 minutes and indeed it was the best match of the night. Cody was the schedule to face a mystery opponent of Rollins’ choosing. The mystery opponent turned out to be Owens. At the end of the match, Owens was the outside of the ring.
As he was about to enter, Rollins started to abuse him. Owens got frustrated and left the arena. As a result, he got counted out and Cody won. Cody Rhodes stood tall inside the ring as this week’s RAW went off air.
Overall, it was a good week of Monday Night RAW with a lot of things happening. They are finally producing some good shows. Even though SmackDown is still weak. The complaint we always had with the 24/7 championship was well managed this week. This is how it should be booked every week. Other segments where good as well. The only thing missing are some stable based action. We seriously hope things get better soon. We give it 2.5 stars out of 5.
