Shane McMahon introduced RAW Underground for the third hour of WWE RAW programming, a few weeks ago. It was said to be the brainchild idea of the prodigal son of WWE who was trying to revive the TV ratings for Monday Night Raw following his return. The attempt was successful as the plan was successful in boosting the ratings of WWE’s flagship program.
There’s no rule for the fights when it comes to the Raw Underground picture. Only random fights without pinfall or submission counts go down with some uncertainty for the audience. There’s no special prize for the audience, to date but who knows whether WWE will soon come up with an idea or not. After all, there have been rumors of the inauguration of a title for this segment, only.

Raw Underground Title coming to WWE
While there isn’t any prize for winning the fights. it seems like we may see the debut of the RAW Underground Championship, soon especially since WWE has plans to stick around with the idea for a long time. A reliable source has come up with some information that hints some backstage planning is going around this.

Twitter user BeltFanDan who has broken several news stories about Championships in the past is the source who informed that another belt might be on its way to the programming. There have been some talks of WWE introducing a RAW Underground Championship. The title will reportedly be looking like the old school Hardcore Championship.
“Supposedly the idea of a RAW Underground Championship was pitched. Suggestions included it looking beat up like the Hardcore belt with spray paint and simulated brick texturing.”
Previously, the speculation was that the 24/7 Championship would be equal to the Hardcore Title that has been retired for the last several years. But it has become a belt to entertain the people and a replacement to the Hardcore will only be seen on the Raw Underground segments.
These unfiltered fights would become cliche anyway as time would fly if not the performers have a common goal. With a title to capture for, the performers will have a purpose to fight for. Plus, we may also expect to witness bigger names appearing on Raw Underground that would be additional reasons for the fans to tune in.
