There have been some serious concerns over Lana’s WWE career after Miro aka Rusev was released from WWE on April 15th. Although she was doing just fine by teaming with Natalya, things did change when Miro arrived in AEW last week. That debut was followed by his wife Lana and Natalya getting destroyed on Raw.
Some fans definitely believed those two events were connected with each other, but that may not be the case. During his Twitch stream, Miro spoke about his worriedness about Lana who might get heat after his AEW debut. WWE doesn’t generally treat the rival brand joiners, that easily and thus he can feel that the creative team could treat him terribly.

Reason Lana And Natalya Suffer Beatdown On WWE Raw
Ringside News has opposed the idea in their latest reports. It was explicitly told by a tenured member of the creative team to them that Lana and Natalya’s beat-down on Raw had “nothing to do with Miro” and his comments about the brass ring.
Lana and Natalya were destroyed by the women’s tag team champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, but there was a reason for it. WWE needed to present the tag champs in the strongest way possible so it could be showcased the devastation that Nia and Shayna are capable of. This was not a way so that the Ravishing Russian or her husband can learn a lesson.
Lana and Natalya weren’t very happy about this angle on Raw, too. After they came up short against the Riott Squad, Nattie was destroyed whereas her partner was put through the announce table. The segment was not a booking decision that came out of bitterness. It was a simple way to make the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions look strong.
During Busted Open Radio, Miro fka Rusev got an opportunity to go into detail on the matter. He is obviously a bit concerned over his wife, Lana suffering the consequences but he also knows it’s all about business. Thus he can only pray that things will be handled with great care.
“Absolutely. At the same time, they should be professional and treat it as it is. It’s nothing personal, it’s a business. Hopefully, they treat it like that. I hope that it won’t hurt her. I pray everything will be fine and we should move on,” said Rusev.
