Surprising the WWE Universe, The Miz turned out to be the new holder of the Money In the Bank contract of the 2020 edition. He ended up defeating Otis at Hell In A Cell pay-per-view to steal the briefcase and receive a guaranteed world title opportunity. After a decade, he now stands a chance to become the world champion, again.
Now, it’s being reported that WWE’s issues with long term booking could be the reason why Money In the Bank briefcase changed hands. The issues have been very well documented. The weekly basis booking can very well be terrible but WWE creative team is still following this propaganda. They just want to get through another week and that’s what happened with Otis.

Reason The Miz Won WWE Money In The Bank From Otis
Ringside News reported earlier to Hell In A Cell that WWE made the plan for Tucker to turn on Otis. No such payoff was planned as they’re on different brands. However, since a brand vs brand war is up at Survivor Series, these two might get the chance to face each other in a match. But the idea of making Tucker a villain to cause Otis his Money in the Bank contract was a quick one.
WWE Earnings Revealed For 2020 Third Quarter
Ringside News has now informed that Otis losing the Money In The Bank briefcase to The Miz was just a way to go through another week for the creative team, “hey, let’s change things up!” They might have been looking for some shock value and go forward with the change. This is also the same reason why Otis won the briefcase in the first place, back in May.
WWE never ever had any plans to successfully cash in Money In the Bank contract, as well. A tenured member of the team told the source that “it’s really as stupid and insane and impatient and impetuous as that.” Just because Vince McMahon wanted a big moment, he ended up booking The Miz’s win at Hell In A Cell, immediately. Hopefully, he can be successful to become a world champion.
Different plans were pitched for Otis for the time being, he was the Money In The Bank briefcase holder, but nothing really materialized. He also lost Mandy Rose to the red brand who now had no momentum in his favor. As for The Miz, he is at least capable of bragging a previous successful cash-in on Randy Orton in 2010. He is teasing to repeat things but nothing is concrete, at this point.
