Former WWE non wrestling personnel Renee Young who is currently going by her real name Renee Paquette recently said that she did not like the fact that WWE announced the surprise entrants of the women’s Royal Rumble match in advance. She said that she “Genuinely Hated That.”

Just like every year WWE organised their famous Royal Rumble per view event at the end of January. At just like every year the biggest attractions of the event are the two Royal Rumble matches featuring 30 men and 30 women. Previously WWE used to organise men’s Rumble match only which started back in 1988.

Renee Young Did Not Like The Fact WWE Announced Women’s Royal Rumble Entrants In Advance

Since then it is going on each and every year. Since 2018, WWE brought this revolutionary concept to the world of women’s wrestling as well. Needless to say, the women’s Rumble match has become equally famous as the men’s Rumble match and fans keep on waiting for both Royal Rumble matches with same anticipation.

In four different women’s Royal Rumble matches, WWE has produced for different winners. The first ever Rumble match was won by Asuka. In 2019 Becky Lynch won the women’s Rumble match.

In 2020 it was Charlotte Flair and last year Bianca Belair won the Rumble match. One of the biggest attractions of the Royal Rumble match is the surprise entrants. And in the women’s Rumble match we get even more surprise entrants than the men’s Royal Rumble match since WWE could never fill 30 wrestlers from their latest squads.

And this year there was no chance that WWE could produce 30 wrestlers from their current squad who could participate into the Royal Rumble match. Everybody knew more than half of the entrants would be either legends or former WWE stars.

But this year WWE already announced a lot of the surprise entrants before the event. A lot of fans and wrestling pundits did not like this idea of WWE. In the Rumble match, it feels better if the entrants remain a surprise.

Returning wrestlers are even more fun to watch. So a lot of fans believe that it was a terrible idea from WWE to announce all these names in advance. Even though all of the names of the entrants has not been disclosed yet. But the question is, why WWE made such a decision? We believe WWE are not taking any risk of TV ratings.

Renee Young who is currently going by her real name Renee Paquette recently spoke on her the Oral Sessions podcast where she said that she did not like the fact that WWE announced the surprise entrants of the women’s Royal Rumble match in advance. She said;

“Stop announcing them. I genuinely hate that. I am that Summer Rae’s return was announced beforehand. Even Mickie James, that one’s a huge one. If she came out and her music hit, I would have been like, ‘Holy s***.’ But Summer has not been a part of any WWE event since she left, so to hear her music hit would have genuinely shocked me.”
