Renee Young worked with WWE for more than eight years and in the process, she’s become perhaps the most popular wrestling journalist. She was a regular feature on WWE TV until parting ways with the company back in the summer of 2020.
It was a huge loss from WWE’s perspective as the Canadian journalist did have a huge fanbase of her own. Things had become stale for Renee Young, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Then she could have parted ways with the company after WWE Backstage show on FOX was canceled.
Since that departure, Renee Young kept herself busy with quite a few interesting projects. Besides, she gave birth to her daughter but the fact is that she kept her distance from professional wrestling. That was until the end of August when the popular figure was back for a shoot with the WWE.

Renee Young shot for an episode of WWE Rivals
This was the first time that Renee Young worked with WWE since her departure from the company in August 2020. She also confirmed during her Oral Sessions Podcast that the visit to WWE PC was to film an episode of WWE Rivals on the WWE Network,
“I got to go do a thing with WWE the other day. It’s fun to just troll a little, post the glass. Me and Kevin Owens and JBL, Johnny Gargano, Mr. Johnny Wrestling in the house, it was a good crew, and of course, Freddie Prinze Jr. hosted a couple of episodes of us doing WWE Rivals.”
Fans obviously started speculating a comeback for Renee Young after pictures from her latest visit to WWE went viral. However, it still remains a one-off deal with the company as she may not be ready to travel on the road with the WWE crew, yet. But with Triple H in charge of the talent relations, who knows if something interesting comes up in the near future?
