To the shock of the WWE Universe, Mustafa Ali has now been revealed to be the leader of the Retribution faction. Rumors about Ali being a part of the mystery group has been going on for quite sometimes and now it’s turned out to be true. It appears that the Raw superstar is hinting some sort of injustice that should be removed.
Last night’s WWE RAW witnessed MVP issuing a threat to Retribution early in the show, mentioning how his team, The Hurt Business was coming for the group of masked Superstars. MVP later faced Mustafa Ali in a one-on-one match, but after Ali came up some offense, MVP brought Shelton Benjamin and the WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley into the ring with him to corner Ali.

RETRIBUTION – Mustafa Ali Declared Faction Leader On WWE Raw
It was then when the lights started flickering up and the LED boards in the virtual crowd turned into black. When the lights were back, we saw Retribution members surrounded the ring as The Hurt Business stood together. MVP asked Ali if he was going to stand with them and fight, or would join Retribution in the middle of the ring.
T-BAR and Mace appeared at the while Slapjack joined them. Ali left the ring and confronted them. But Ali suddenly turned to face the ring and stood with the big men of Retribution while ordering them to attack The Hurt Business as a big brawl broke out.
The three big men then destroyed MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin Retribution as more low-level masked members were around the ringside. After they were done with the massacre, Ali returned to the ring and joined T-BAR, Mace, and Slapjack. Several other members of Retribution followed him as Ali raised his hand symbol in the air.
Ali remained silent on his connection with Retribution except for a tweet where he wrote, “Some dreams die so others can live.”
The announcers then noted during commentary that it’s clear that Ali has been the one was secretly running Retribution, all along. It was also indicated on social media that Ali is the leader of the group. This appears to be a complete new shtick for the high-flying superstar who used to be a babyface, thus far. But now he stands with the perhaps the most dominant faction in recent memory. This should be good news for Ali who could be seeking a career rejuvenation.
