Earlier reports have already confirmed that Raw and SmackDown rosters are going to be distinct yet again starting in the fall of 2019. The WWE Draft is coming back for the second time in this year. This will be happening as per the demand of the FOX Network officials who wants the show to be completely different from the flagship show.

Now the follow-up reports claim that the WWE Draft is indeed happening and have a confirmed date for the big event, as well. The officials of the company already have tentative dates set for it. Dave Meltzer reported on F4Wonline.com that WWE Draft will begin on the SmackDown episode in Las Vegas on Friday, October 11th.

It will continue on Monday Night RAW as the second night of WWE Draft will be occurring on Monday, October 14 in Denver, Colorado. This will be the first time that SmackDown gets to pick the first opportunity to choose the talents instead of Raw who always got the priority, going by history.
Hosting WWE Draft on this particular date is to ensure big viewership on SmackDown for two consecutive nights. October 4th will mark the 20th-anniversary celebration of the show whereas the next episode will change the landscape of the roster. So they are likely to tune in, automatically as WWE already sketched strategies around the shows.
Meltzer also noted that there will be a few changes on the roster but it may not be a ton of changes in the end,
“The idea is that the talent line-up they did in the last draft is kinda gonna be the talent line-up, there’s gonna be some changes and they may include some NXT people, but the changes are going to be made with yet another draft.” (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
The reason for bringing back the WWE Draft is to freshen things up on shows and talents during October. We have had Superstar Shakeup back in April 2019. But WWE erased all of the effects of this process through the Wild Card Rule. So the comeback of the roster separation process must be welcoming to the fans.
