Merchandise selling is one of the most important responsibilities of the WWE team. This indicates how much ‘over’ a superstar is around the WWE Universe. The more popular a superstar is the more he or she will be able to sell out items designed for him or her. At present, the top name in the fan-favorites list is pretty much predictable.

Next challenge for Becky Lynch revealed

As reported by The Dirty Sheets, WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion “The Man” Becky Lynch secured that position. So she is WWE’s new #1 merchandise seller for the 1st quarter of 2019. She defeated heavyweight names to earn this accolade. Top male superstars such as Roman Reigns & AJ Styles lost the race to her.

This is quite good news for the merchandise selling department as they got an additional name into the list who could top Reigns and Styles. But another top name is not performing well as expected. This was the reason which could certainly affect one of the main event matches of Wrestlemania 35.

Men’s Royal Rumble 2019 winner and new Universal Champion Seth Rollins is the concerned name who is not performing well in merchandise selling. Despite the main event push, he is not in the top 5 list of merchandise sellers. On the other hand, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles have been able to keep themselves within the top 5 names, no matter what.

There’s a big chance that Kofi Kingston will appear as a solo superstar in the list in due course with his recent popularity. Chances are even bigger since he won the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 35.

WWE’s revenue generation depends a lot on the merchandise selling. There’s an entire dedicated website handled by a separate marketing department to monitor the sell-outs. They sort out which new items to come in the market based on the superstars’ demand around the mass audience.

It is pretty much evident that the babyface superstars keep themselves ahead in merchandise selling in comparison to the heel superstars. Among them, the franchise figures secure the top spot and so WWE brings out the most number of selling items for them helping them to retain the position.
