Professional wrestling legend and a former three times WWE world champion Rey Mysterio who is also a former three times WWE Cruiserweight champion recently talked about his tag team match at WrestleMania 38 and praised it.
At WrestleMania 38 WWE focused on a lot of matches involving celebrities. Two of them include Logan Paul who is an internet celebrity and the famous actor Johnny Knoxville. Nearly every year WWE books at least one match involving a celebrity. Even last year internationally famous rapper Bad Bunny was involved in a tag team match.
Rey Mysterio Comments On His Tag Team Match At WrestleMania 38
Logan Paul was involved at WrestleMania 37 as well but not directly in a match, he accompanied the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn during his match against Kevin Owens at the said event. This is going to be the debut match of Logan in WWE.
Logan Paul is going to team up with the Miz to take on the Mysterios at WrestleMania 38. The feud started recently when the Miz lost a match to Rey Mysterio at the Elimination Chamber pay per view event. Miz brought a tag team partner of his own for WrestleMania 38 to take on the Mysterios and that was Logan Paul.
However the fans are not excited about this match at all as Logan is not being appreciated by the WWE fans by any means. He is taking part as a heel so he is supposed to be booed by the fans so it is quite obvious right? But the fans are not appreciating him since the very first day he came to WWE. Maybe this is the reason why the WWE decided to put him on the heel side this time.
Rey Mysterio who is also a former three times WWE Cruiserweight champion recently spoke to Complex where he talked about his tag team match at WrestleMania 38 and praised it. He said;
“It’s always been cool for WWE to bring in other athletes or celebrities into the mix and collaborate on a different scale by combining mixed matchups. Muhammad Ali, Alice Cooper, Cindy Lauper, Mike Tyson, and now Logan Paul.
“And when other athletes, celebrities, or influencers like Logan step into our world, they leave respecting what we do. It’s a certain appreciation that only the ones who step into that squared circle will understand. Logan will definitely appreciate. I can’t wait to enforce some 619 L.A.W on the 216!”
