Professional wrestling legend and a former three times WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio who is also a former three times WWE Cruiserweight champion recently talked about his relationship with the late great WWE legend at Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero.

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero had been real life best friends and they had excellent chemistry inside the professional wrestling ring as well. They have been working together in the world of professional wrestling since their WCW days. The duo got the privilege to work along each other in WWE as well.

Rey Mysterio Comments On His Relationship With Eddie Guerrero

In 2005 they had an amazing feud with each other. There were a lot of ups and downs in this feud but the matches were mostly won by Rey Mysterio and it is believed that the main event post that Rey got in 2006 was all because of this feud since Eddie Guerrero did an amazing job to lift Rey WWE main event star through this feud.

In late 2005 Eddie Guerrero shockingly passed away and shocked the entire world. He could have done a lot of things in the WWE, the promotion was finally building him at the main event star from the previous year. It was also reported that he was supposed to win the World Heavyweight Championship soon. It was a tragic incident that still haunts the fan and the wrestlers.

Rey Mysterio who is also a former three times WWE Cruiserweight champion recently spoke to Complex where he talked about his relationship with the late great WWE legend at Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. He said;

“I remember the first time I met him, I wasn’t even in wrestling. I was just a fan and 13 years old, and he was wrestling with my uncle [Rey Misterio, Sr.]. They were teaming up, and I was just a kid.

“Who would have thought back then that one day I would get to step in the ring with him, and share in that Guerrero dynasty that in his bloodline? Deep down inside is a bond of brotherhood relationship that is unlike no other. I learned so much from Eddie inside the ring, outside the ring. He taught me how to pace myself.

“How to give the fans what they want at a certain time, and not just throw away my entire arsenal–just waste all my bullets in one match. ‘Wait, let them digest a little bit and have them wanting more the next time they see you.’ All those little details are very important in our industry.”
