This is the opportunity for Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio to become the first ever father and son Tag Team champions in WWE history, and if this happens this will be a huge achievement in their career.
Rey Mysterio Reveals How Much Proud He Is Of Dominik Mysterio
A lot of fans are making a mistake by saying Rey Mysterio and Dominic Mysterio are the first ever father and son tag teams in WWE who are having some Legit matches. But this is not true. Previously there were quite a many father and son tag teams in WWE, including Randy Orton and the Cowboy Bob Orton, Chavo Guerrero and Chavo Classic, Verne Gagne and Greg Gagne, and of course The Rock and Rocky Johnson.
But none of these teams where able to win the Tag Team championships together. Rey and Dominic have the opportunity to become the first ever father and son Tag Team champions in WWE history.
Dominic Mysterio has been pretty impressive since the very first day of his debut. Ve on the recent episode of Talking Smack talked about his son and said how proud his of his son. He said;
I’m extremely proud of what he [Dominik] has accomplished in such a short amount of time. The fact that we’re a step closer to making history [as] the first father-son SmackDown Tag Team Champions, like, that doesn’t compare to anything that I’ve done in the past with all of my accolades in the 30 years that I’ve been in this profession.
Rey also about what it would mean to him if he wins the Smackdown Tag Team Championship along with his son;
I’m going to speak for myself, but I feel a lot of pressure on my back because I want this dream to become a reality. The fact that we’ve been sharing the ring together for the past year has been incredible. But to have this opportunity right in front of us to become father and son champions, that’s just unbelievable. I feel that stress and that good pain on top of me. I’m sure that come Sunday, it’s going to feel much better.
