During WWE Draft Night One on Smackdown, two WWE Legends Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio were drafted as they were picked by the blue and the red brand, respectively. Hardy was seen getting interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton when Brock Lesnar interrupted. However, we have not seen the other draftee alongside his son, Dominik and an injury could have been the cause.
As noted, Rey Mysterio is now on the RAW brand along with his son Dominik, but it’s been noted that he’s not wrestled in recent memory. Fans must have been wondering about the reason behind the same and now a medical issue is cited to be the reason. Although, no specific injury was noted by the source.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Rey Mysterio is not wrestling in recent times since he isn’t cleared by the WWE doctors to be involved in physical capacity. He was scheduled to face Roman Reigns at a live event, but that match was eventually pulled from the event. WWE then went ahead to book a different match for the Bloodline since Mysterio was not able to wrestle,
“As of Friday night that Rey Mysterio was sidelined for an undisclosed medical reason and would no longer be able to perform at the Saturday night live event where he was scheduled to face Roman Reigns.”

Rey Mysterio sent back to Raw during Draft
For the better part of this summer, the two Mysterios have been teaming with John Cena or Finn Balor to compete against Roman Reigns and The Usos in a six-man tag team match lineup. But that had to be changed as Mysterios Sr. isn’t ready for action. There’s no update either on the severity or the exact nature of his injury. WWE would obviously want him to be back in action as he is extremely valuable to them.
We’ll have to wait and see how WWE handles the situation. Rey Mysterio entering RAW will be more than enough to get fans excited which would also bring some star power to the show. In recent times, WWE has teased tensions between him and Dominik. Only the future will tell whether WWE plans to build a full-fledged feud between the two of them.
