The Nightmare is dating indie wrestler Demetri Action Jackson. While Rhea Ripley has established herself as one of the biggest attractions on the women’s division of WWE NXT, she does have a bright future ahead of him when she eventually lands on the main roster. In comparison, her boyfriend has done nothing special around the independent circuit.

While speaking to the Chasing Glory podcast hosted by former WWE announcer Lilian Garcia, Rhea Ripley discussed her relationship with Demetri. It seems her boyfriend hasn’t been in this bumping business for a long time, at all. She mentioned him as ‘very green’ to indicate that he’s still a rookie. Ripley added that he made it clear that he doesn’t want her helping out as he learns the wrestling skills.

“So, Kevin – he goes by Demetri – he’s only been wrestling for, I want to say a year-and-a-half – two years, so that’s not very long. He’s still pretty green and still has a lot to learn, but he learns super fast. I’ve been trying to help him along the way. We’ll watch matches and I’ll sort of break it down for him and explain things. I’m always there for him ’cause I want him to succeed. He’s been straight on not wanting too much of my help ’cause he wants to succeed on his own; he doesn’t want me to give him anything, which I appreciate,” stated Rhea Ripley. It’s hard to predict whether Action Jackson would someday make it to WWE, but his girlfriend has been able to make a name for herself via NXT. Earlier this year, Rhea Ripley was expected to get the main roster call-up, but that didn’t happen. We’ll have to see when that would eventually happen. Her hard work obviously paid off, but she doesn’t want to help out Jackson with any sources.
Rhea Ripley featured in a match at WrestleMania 36 on the second night where she defended her NXT Women’s Title against the Women’s Royal Rumble winner and former NXT Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. The 24-year-old said that it was her golden ticket opportunity to showcase her skills at the grandest stage of them all. But the loss did shake her confidence to a big extent.
