Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley who is the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently talked about a potential return to the NXT. The former WWE NXT Women’s champion said that she would love to go back to the NXT once again.
Rhea Ripley was in WWE for four years now. She was introduced to the world of WWE through the Mae Young Classic tournament. Even though she failed to win the tournament she made a mark for herself. She was soon called up by WWE and was given a chance to work in the NXT UK. The dominant Australian professional wrestler was quite impressive.
Rhea Ripley On Potentially Moving To NXT Again
Soon she was given a chance to work in the NXT. She was being addressed as the Nightmare. She was a fan favourite and she was doing her job perfectly. She even featured WrestleMania 36 as the NXT Women’s champion where she dropped the title to Charlotte Flair. She might have won the NXT Championship on the one time but it was a very dominant run and it was quite obvious that she is going to be a huge thing in WWE.
Recently she got a call up on the main roster and at WrestleMania 37, she challenged Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and defeated her to win her first title.
But once again she dropped the title to Charlotte Flair and currently she is focusing on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. She is the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion along with Nikki ASH. She definitely has a bright future lying ahead of her.
Rhea Ripley who is the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently spoke to Battleground where she talked about a potential return to the NXT. The former WWE NXT Women’s champion said that she would love to go back to the NXT once again. She said;
“I would love to. Honestly, I miss NXT. Right now, how it’s all changed, I don’t know if I would really fit in. When it was the metal scene and very grungy, I loved NXT.
“I’m not saying the one now is bad or anything, but it’s definitely more for the up-and-comers, and everyone is trying to make a name for themselves. But, saying that, I would definitely go back in a heartbeat, especially to help my girl, Raquel Gonzalez. I don’t like the way she gets jumped. I got her back.”
