The stable was formed after the first ever brand extension in WWE and this stable mostly ran in Monday Night RAW. They were somehow involved in most of the championship segments. Ric Flair and Batista focused on the Tag Team championships, Randy Orton focused on the Intercontinental championship, and the World Heavyweight championship was mostly kept by Triple H.

The stable was involved in some of the best storylines of Monday Night RAW during the time. It was of course one of the most entertaining concepts of WWE of the Ruthless Aggression era. The stable continued for nearly 3 years before it was disbanded in 2005. Later in 2014, it was the reformed for a short time but to promote the Shield only.

There were a lot of history of this stable. Firstly, Batista was not originally planned to join the stable. It was former WWE star Mark Jindrak who was the first option to join the stable. He even shot videos as a member of the Evolution. But later he was replaced by Batista. The stable was discontinued after Batista turned on Triple H before WrestleMania 21.

“Well, Hunter didn’t go out. Randy kind of strayed away because we were living pretty large. The best times I had was taking Dave Bautista to these country bars in these small towns and having Dave take off his shirt.

“The girls like Dave. Hunter spent more money on food than I spent on booze. You eat six New York Strips a day at thirty bucks apiece, that adds up.”
