WWE SmackDown star and a former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet who is also a former WWE United States champion recently claimed talked about his relationship with the WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther and also talked about working in different match styles.
Ricochet Trevor Mann made his WWE debut back in 2018 and he joined the main roster in 2019 after spending over a year in the NXT. He instantly became a fan favourite because of his amazing high flying abilities. He won the NXT North American championship one time during his NXT career.

Ricochet Opens Up His Relationship With Gunther
During his main roster run at first he was given a mid card role as he won the WWE United States Championship one time. But after dropping the Championship to AJ Styles at the Extreme Rules pay per view event of 2019, it looked like his mid card push was over. He started to job to most of the wrestlers of the roster.
Is fans were getting frustrated to see him job week after week. But recently before WrestleMania 38, he shocked the world when he defeated Sami Zayn to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.

But even after winning the title, he was not receiving any consistent booking. The IC title had been the worst booked Championship in WWE since WrestleMania 37 before Gunther won it recently. His status did not change enough even after the takeover of Triple H. We hope to see Ricochet in meaningful storylines soon.
Ricochet who is also a former WWE United States champion recently claimed spoke to Digital Spy where he talked about his relationship with the WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther and also talked about working in different match styles. He said;

“I’ve obviously known him for a long time now, and he’s always been great to work with. He still is, he’s a great fella, a great human. Except when he gets in the ring. He gets in the ring and he totally changes, he starts chopping me and it really hurts [laughs]. I do enjoy those matches with the Gunthers, Sheamus’, Bobby Lashleys, the more physical altercations.
“I do enjoy those. I don’t know if I enjoy more like that or like Santos (Escobar), Humberto (Carrillo), or something like that because they’re so different and I like the aspects of both of them. I like the physicality and the brutalness of Sheamus and Gunther, but I like the speed and technique and skills of the other matches.
“It’s hard to pick which one you like more because, as an artist, you just want to create, and anytime you get an opportunity to create something, it’s wonderful. I enjoy them, you have to be a little crazy to like it, but when you’re out there and the adrenaline is going and it’s a battle, two guys battling, you have to be a little crazy.”
