Roman Reigns is back on Smackdown after a week’s hiatus and he’s claimed back his island of relevancy. After humbling the new king of the WWE, he’d go into a battle with him, as per the latest reports. That in turn, will also continue the ongoing feud between The Bloodline and The New Day members ahead Survivor Series 2021 PPV event.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. King Xavier Woods is being locally advertised for this Friday’s SmackDown, according to PWInsider. WWE has never advertised the match on their website or their social media handles. But going by the storyline, the match in the main event slot makes sense.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown, Universal Champion Roman Reigns wasn’t happy about SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos losing to The New Day in a tag team match during his absence. Reigns told Jimmy Uso (since Jimmy got pinned in that match) to fix this problem, by beating King Xavier Woods in the main event match.

Roman Reigns already humbled King Woods
The stipulation of the match was also interesting which stated that King Xavier had to acknowledge The Tribal Chief if he’d lost while Jimmy had to bend down to his knees if he’d lost the match. Woods got the pinfall win after some distractions at ringside. Per the condition, Jimmy went to bend the knee but Roman Reigns got into the ring to hit a superman punch on Woods.
The Bloodline unloaded on The New Day now as fans booed. A triple-team attack followed and The Usos drop Woods with a double superkick. Some fans chant “we want Lesnar!” while Reigns leveled Kofi with a huge Spear. Reigns also talked trash to Woods to conclude the show and promised to humble if he dares to step into the ring with him, the following week.
On social media, Reigns commented:
“You come to my show, you come correct. Respect the top of the food chain. We eat first. #HeadOfTheTable #SmackDown”
That being said, Roman Reigns vs. King Xavier Woods should be a perfect lineup, storyline-wise for this week’s Smackdown. The show is scheduled to happen at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
