At a recent WWE Live Event at the Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, Roman Reigns cut a promo to send the WWE Universe into a frenzy. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion mentioned how he may not come back to the city of Trenton after this as he’s entering a new phase in life.
The following comments thrown by Roman Reigns could be a tease of leaving the WWE,
“I’ve been here a couple of times in the past 10 years. I’m starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back here again.
If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.”
WWE Summerslam 2022: Ric Flair Wants To Wrestle Vince McMahon
It was reported that Roman Reigns has signed a new WWE deal and by its obligation, he would be working in fewer House Shows from now onwards. While he isn’t leaving the company, he could be going on a hiatus, very soon.
Roman Reigns not booked in shows around Summerslam 2022
In more updates per PWInsider, The Tribal Chief isn’t being advertised for any RAW, SmackDown, or Live Event in July and August. June 24 SmackDown was the last TV taping he is being advertised for. Following that show, he’s only advertised SummerSlam 2022 (July 30) and Cash at the Castle (September 3) premium live events. That being said, speculations are running high that a hiatus could be reserved for him after the Biggest Event of the Summer.
Also during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Roman Reigns has been pulled from all WWE events for a good portion of time around this summer. It’s not known what is going on, but that speech given by Roman Reigns about not being around could have had some significance, after all.
“I’m trying to get more information on this, but he was removed from all shows, his last show is June 19th until after Labor Day. I don’t know what the situation is, but he is scheduled for the two pay-per-view shows,” Meltzer reported about Roman Reigns’ schedule.
“I don’t know what that is, whether he’s doing a movie, but it is, obviously we already know his schedule going forward after June is going to be cut back anyway, but there will be a period where he won’t even be on television, because he’s been removed from all the advertisement.” (Transcription by Ringside News)
