It’s safe to say that Roman Reigns is perhaps the greatest champion of this modern era of the WWE. Over the course of the past couple of years, he has put up an incredibly dominant show while being the Universal Champion and then as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. This dream run of his started all the way back in the summer of 2020 and since then no one was able to topple him from his reign.

The Tribal Chief has destroyed everyone that wanted to step against him since his return back in 2020. That was also the night when he decided to change his character for the first time and turn into a heel persona.

With Paul Heyman and The Usos backing him up, we highly doubt that anybody would be stopping Roman Reigns, anytime soon. Now, he has surpassed yet another milestone following the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Roman Reigns has successfully defended his title against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam. After this, he reached a huge milestone as the Universal Champion. Following yet another successful title defense, The Head Of The Table has now been the Universal Champion for 702 days and counting. This is going to be perhaps a benchmark accolade that is going to be impossible to pass by.

In addition, Roman Reigns’ run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has now surpassed another milestone since he has completed 1000 days, counting all of his world title reigns in the company. WrestleOps Twitter noted the following on the achievement,

“@WWERomanReigns has now surpassed 1,000 days combined as a @WWE Champion in his career. One more month to break into the Top 5 all time record in company history. Historic status.”

Roman Reigns Crosses 1000+ Days As Top Champion In WWE 2

Roman Reigns is a three-time WWE Champion and a two-time Universal Champion in his career with the 5th one being the longest in the modern history of the company. He will now defend his title against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash At The Castle on September 3rd. This one match is a long time coming for the WWE Universe and it remains to be seen how WWE will eventually book the bout and the feud in the first place.

It should also be noted that Roman Reigns also set two major records at SummerSlam. Apart from completing 700 days as a champion, he has become the only man to defeat Brock Lesnar four times in a row. These are the four matches where he picked up the back-to-back wins over The Beast Incarnate,
