ToggleRoman Reigns is holding the WWE Universal heavyweight championship for nearly three years now and he remained unpinned for three and a half long years. This is one of the most monstrous who’s WWE ever delivered to any wrestler in the modern days of wrestling. He is also the first wrestler to hold a WWE World title for more than 1000 days.
But finally, at the Money in the Bank PLE, Roman was pinned after three and a half long years by his own cousin Jey Uso. It was a tag team match and his title was not on the line, but Roman finally facing a pinfall defeat was really shocking. Finally, after his cousins took themselves out of the Bloodline, Roman’s Championship reign looks to be in jeopardy.

Roman Reigns – Current Champions Expresses Their Opinion On Who Can Bring An End To The Tribal Chief’s Reign
In spite of the fact a lot of fans do not want to believe that Roman Reigns is going to drop the WWE Universal title anytime soon, and there is no concrete rumor on him dropping the title before WrestleMania 40. It is also uncertain if he would drop the title at WrestleMania 40 either.
But a lot of fans including some of the biggest names in wrestling wanted to believe in the theory that either of the Usos needs to dethrone Roman and take the Universal title away from him. The current WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions want to believe in this theory too. Speaking with Inside the Ropes recently, they expressed their desire to see Roman getting defeated by either of the Usos.

Both Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn Think Either Of The Usos Should Dethrone Roman Reigns
Kevin Owens said, “Either Jey or Jimmy, I think both those guys deserve the world, and both those guys would be fantastic Universal World Champions. I think they’d be a shoo-in for that spot, they’d be great at it, and honestly, with the way everything has progressed, and the new heights they’ve reached, it certainly wouldn’t look out of place.”
Sami Zayn added, “I think from a character and story perspective, it does make sense to see Jimmy or Jey do it. I think a lot of characters have come along throughout the last three years who could have been a very fitting ending. I think I was one, Cody [Rhodes] was one, and even Drew [McIntyre] to a certain extent.”

It is pretty much certain that Jey Uso is going to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. The match is not official yet but we can expect it to get official by the upcoming episode of Smackdown. This is definitely going to be an excellent match but we still do not want to believe in the theory that Jey has any potential to dethrone Roman Reigns.
