Roman Reigns is the only bearer of The Shield on WWE programming, at least going by the music. He is the only one who uses the same entrance song since the beginning days of the faction. The company trimmed the iconic “Sierra Hotel India Echo Lima Delta” intro, but the rest of the theme remains the same. Now, it could be changed.
However, it would be more appropriate if Roman Reigns would have been a top babyface player. Currently, his role has been changed in a completely different direction. So previous reports already suggested that a new WWE entrance music could be on the way for him. That is definitely in the pipeline confirmed by the man himself but the process can’t be rushed.
Reason Roman Reigns Not Competing Inside WWE Elimination Chamber In 2021
While speaking to Bleacher Report, Roman Reigns confirmed that his new entrance music is currently in progress. He also revealed that he was never really a fan of the original music used for The Shield’s entrance. So, this is something he does not want to be repeated by any means with his new music.
“The Shield music, I wasn’t even into it back in the day, but over the years it just started working. You just get so used to something I just kinda timed my pace to it.”

Roman Reigns updates about a new theme music
Roman Reigns added that they want to make sure it is the right fit for his character. So his team is being very picky about the vibe it presents so that it could be fitting for his Tribal Chief character.
“Yeah, we’re working on it. I’ll just say that, we’re working on it. It’s not easy. I’m not gonna just… with this character, it’s gotta be the right vibe. You know, I can’t, you know, be… you can’t just hire a rapper… or check out this guitar riff. It can’t just be some rock music.” (Transcription by Ringside News)
That previous music did become a part of The Big Dog’s character as he used to be the poster boy of the company. He still is in the same position but nowadays, he’s a top heel similar to that of Brock Lesnar. Perhaps his new entrance music will reflect the complex nature of his new gimmick. At least, Roman Reigns could claim that he loves the music after all these years as it’ll be different than The Shield.
There’s no doubt about the new heel Head of the Table persona being a top work by the multi-time world champion. This has certainly captivated WWE fans and it would be fitting when they would be back on the shows to shower him with boos. We will have to wait and see when the same entrance music that he’s had for years, will finally be changed. Perhaps, WWE would be looking for a bigger occasion to do so.
