The current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns who is also a former five times World champion in WWE recently talked about his feud with WWE Hall of Famer and a former eleven times WWE World champion Edge. He also talked about the main event of WrestleMania 37 and the ending of it.

Roman Reigns was originally scheduled to face Edge for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37 in a one on one match since Edge won the Royal Rumble match and decided to challenge Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns On His With Feud Edge, Talks The Ending Of His Match At WrestleMania 37

But later, the former five times world champion in WWE Daniel Bryan was added to the frame to make it a triple threat match. The match became the main event of the night and Reigns successfully retain the Championship where he pinned both men at the same time.

After WrestleMania 37, Reigns continued his feud with Daniel Bryan but short after Bryan decided to leave WWE. Edge were no had to be seen after WrestleMania 37 before he made his return before Money in the Bank pay per view event to ask for the rematch. The dream match between The Rated R Superstar and WWE Universal champion Reigns was booked as the main event of Money in the Bank pay per view event.

Once again, Reigns came out victorious in this match, this time he defeated Edge by pinfall. But the match also marked two new feuds. Seth Rollins made and interference during the match and cost Edge his title shot. A Feud between the duo started after that. John Cena also made a surprise return to challenge Reigns for the title. Reigns and Cena collided for the title at SummerSlam where Cena lost and Edge removed the focus from the Universal Championship.

“One that’s super special to me as well, outside of the stuff I did with my family because it was so strong with Jey, was the match I had with Edge at Money in the Bank. I believe that was in Fort Worth, the first pay-per-view back.

“I haven’t watched that match back, so I can’t really detail the energy and if it was as loud as it was in the arena, but in the arena, that crowd was live. The timing and the pacing, I’ve seen some critique it and call it a little slow, but that’s what the heavyweights in main events do.

“When you hear Paul Heyman go in on it and laying down the history of it being the most dominant finish in WrestleMania main event history, nobody’s ever stacked two guys in the main event of WrestleMania, and I did that. For me to be able to say I did that is crazy, but I think that’s just recognition and an accolade alone.”
