Professional wrestling legend and former eight times WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy who is also a former two time TNA World Heavyweight Champion recently praised the WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and also said that he would love to have a match against him.
Roman Reigns is definitely one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling right now if not the biggest. WWE always promoted to one particular face during every phase of the time. From the very first day of the existence of the promotion there had been one consistent face of the promotion.

Matt Hardy Praises Roman Reigns, Says He Wants A Match Against Him
The first recognised face of the promotion was Bruno Sammartino who was later replaced by Hulk Hogan, the Hulkstar became one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling. After Hulk Hogan Departed for WCW, WWE took a little time to replace him because they were finding it difficult to build a new face for the promotion.
Ultimately the void was filled by Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock. And after Austin departed from Professional wrestling in 2003 and the Rock went on to Hollywood, WWE belt John Cena as their newest face who also became one of the biggest stars in the world of professional wrestling.
John Cena remained the face of WWE for over a decade and when he left WWE for Hollywood the promotion did not have to wait for long to find a new face, and it was Roman Reigns. However it was the hardest task for them to build him as the face of the promotion. But finally they were successful.

Matt Hardy who is also a former two time TNA World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke on Extreme Life of Matt Hardy where he praised the WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and also said that he would love to have a match against him. He said;
“Yes, I really would have loved to have had a match against Roman Reigns. I like Roman Reigns immensely as a performer and I also really like him as a human being, too. We always got along good. He’s just a real cool cat and he’s such a hard worker.
“He’s so smooth, he’s so handsome, he’s so charismatic. He really does have an amazing package. The stuff he’s doing currently with him and the Usos, I can’t put that over enough. It is my favorite thing on WWE television. He’s killing it!

“To me, I’m almost disappointed it took them so long to actually step out and turn him heel. It became such a huge success. Sometimes you have to do that. If the crowd isn’t reacting to what you give them in a certain way — One of the things that’s nice about pro wrestling is that you can flop someone to being a bad guy or a good guy and that was a step they needed to do with Roman because the crowd was just so split on him.
“I feel like whenever you do that, and the fans that do doubt him or maybe boo him, whenever they actually start cheering Roman because he’s heel and he’s doing this cool shtick that they love now, then you ultimately build him back into a much bigger babyface at the end of the day. So I love the work he’s been doing and I would have loved to have had a match with him. That would have been a lot of fun.”
